Composer, singer, author, actor, activist - STING has won universal acclaim in all of these roles yet he defi es easy labeling. Born in
Newcastle, England, Sting moved to London in 1977 and formed The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band
released fi ve albums, earned six Grammy awards, and in 2003 was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since 1985,
Sting has released 13 solo albums. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of his solo career, 25 Years, the 3-CD/1-DVD box set collection, was
released in September 2011. The Best Of 25 Years is also available as a double disc. To further celebrate this milestone, the free
iPad app STING 25 was recently released. This fi rst-of-its-kind ‚appumentary‘ features rare photos, in-depth interviews and over
four hours of video content, including exclusive, all-star performances from his sixtieth birthday benefi t concert at New York
City‘s Beacon Theatre. As one of the world‘s most distinctive and highly respected performers, he has sold nearly 100 million
albums from his combined work with the Police and as a solo artist and has earned an additional 10 Grammy awards, a Golden
Globe, an Emmy, and three Oscar nominations. Sting‘s Back to Bass tour, which garnered stellar reviews throughout North America
last year, recently extended to Europe, the UK and South Africa, including a sold-out show at the Congress Center. This summer,
Sting will return to Prague to perform many of his most celebrated hits at the 02 arena.
